A woman IFS officer by name Madhuri Gupta, who was posted at the Indian Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan has been arrested for allegedly spying and passing secret information to Pakistan.
53-year-old IFS officer was posted in the press wing of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan.
According to sources the accused who is said to be an Urdu interpreter who has served in Delhi, Kuala Lumpur and Islamabad, has confessed to the crime.
Home secretary G K Pillai said “Madhuri has been passing secret information to Pakistani agencies. “She has been arrested,”
